Commercial liquid screed is used in projects such as office buildings, retail spaces, and warehouses. It is a flowable mixture of cement or anhydrite, fine aggregate and water, that can be used to level and smooth the surface of a concrete floor. Like domestic liquid screed, it is typically applied at a thickness of between 12mm (bonded) and 40mm (floating), making it thinner than traditional sand and cement screed.

Commercial liquid screed is commonly used where there is a requirement for a high level of insulation and / or thermal conductivity.

It is also used to level uneven floors and to create a smooth surface for the installation of flooring such as tile, hardwood or carpet.
