It is a flowable mixture of cement, fine aggregate and water, that can be used to level and smooth the surface of a concrete floor. Liquid screed is typically applied at a thickness of between 12mm (bonded) and upwards of 40mm (floating), making it thinner than traditional sand and cement screed.

Liquid screed is commonly used in new builds and renovations where there is a requirement for a high level of insulation and thermal conductivity. It is also used to level uneven floors and to create a smooth surface for the installation of flooring such as tile, hardwood or carpet.

One of the main benefits of liquid screed is that it can be poured and levelled quickly, which can help to speed up the construction process.
